Privacy Policy

Effective: November 4, 2026 (announced October 28, 2026)

Leash Line ("the game") handles only the information the game needs. There is no sign-up or login, and we do not collect names, phone numbers, email addresses or precise location.

1. What we collect

• Device ID: a random identifier (UUID) created on your device the first time you open the game, used only to save and find your records on the server.
• Game records: level, stars, hints, breed collection, the dates you opened the game (daily hint and visit streak), and how many rewarded ads you watched today.
• Settings: language, sound and vibration.
• Age and consent result: whether you are under the digital age of consent in your region (yes/no), your personalized-ads choice, and a country code. We do not save your birth year. The country is the code Cloudflare derives from your IP address when you connect; we do not store the IP address.
• Ad data (app): the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) in the app collects the advertising ID, IP address, ad interactions and diagnostics directly and sends them to Google (section 6). We do not store them on the game server.
• Friend invites (only if used): your invite code and invite relationships (between anonymous IDs only), the times you cleared levels 1–10, and a one-way hash of a device identifier to stop repeated sign-ups from the same device. To limit rapid code attempts, we keep a hash of the IP address for one minute only. We do not collect names, contacts or address books. Invites are hidden for users under the age of consent.

2. Why we use it

• Saving progress and syncing between devices; daily hint and visit streak
• Showing ads, granting rewarded-ad rewards and checking daily limits
• Setting up ads and consent for your age and region

3. Analytics

We do not currently use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics). If we start, we will update this policy first, and we will not use them for users under the age of consent or who declined personalized ads.

4. Service providers

• Cloudflare: runs the game server and the game database (D1)
• Google: ads (AdSense on the web, AdMob in the app) and ad consent tools (UMP and a Google-certified CMP)

5. Age

The game is for general audiences and is not directed at children. On first launch we ask for your birth year; if you are under the digital age of consent in your region (13–16 depending on the EU country, 14 in Korea, 13 elsewhere), we show only non-personalized ads and do not use analytics. We do not save the birth year used for this check.

6. Ads, cookies and advertising ID

We show Google AdSense ads on the web and Google AdMob ads in the app. To show and measure ads and prevent fraud, the ad SDK in the app sends your device's advertising ID, IP address (to estimate approximate location) and ad interactions to Google; if you consented to personalized ads, interest-based ads may be shown. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in your phone's Settings → Google → Ads. On the web, ad providers may use cookies; you can turn off personalized ads in Google Ad Settings. Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

We ask for consent to use personal data for ads through Google's consent tool, and no ads are loaded before you answer. If you do not consent, only non-personalized (limited) ads are shown. The legal basis for ad processing is this consent; game records are processed to provide the game (contract). You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, or object to processing (email in section 9), and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Users in US states with privacy laws (e.g. California)

The same tool lets you opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted ads. We do not sell personal information for money.

You can change or withdraw consent at any time in the game: Settings → Privacy settings.

7. How long we keep it

• Game records and settings: until you delete them (section 8)
• Rewarded-ad view counts: 7 days
• Advertising ID and other ad data: not stored on the game server; Google keeps them under its policies

8. How to delete

• Records on this device: Settings → tap "Reset progress" twice; they are deleted right away.
• Records on the server: email us with the device ID shown in Settings; we delete them within 30 days and let you know.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, we will announce it on this page at least 7 days before it takes effect.
